I'm a Java Developer. I have recently discovered Eclipse, and I love it. It's the best thing to happen for Java since Servlets. No, really.

Eclipse is an open-source, free IDE (editor, compiler, debugger) with a cartload of available plugins and extentions. (There's a C developement version out as well). This makes working with large Java projects (especially someone else's ones) a whole lot easier.

My roommate and his cousin got our kitchen painted last week. Does it remind you of anything?

Last week (or thereabouts) I started a new section of flooble: It's a site with all sorts of logical and mathematical problems, brain teasers and puzzles, called flooble :: perplexus. If you are into this sort of mental stimulation, be sure to stop by and check it out.

Also if you know of any problems that I missed, be sure to let me know!

My cell phone is a Motorola StarTAC. They were all the rage a couple of years ago, and I have had mine since then, because I have gotten very used to it. I like that it’s the size of a full fledged phone when opened, and thin enough to fit into my pockets when closed.

I also like the fact that I have managed to learn to open it with just a flick of the wrist. Since I got this phone, I stopped carrying a watch - I just use the phone’s built in clock that gets set by Verizon automatically.

The thing is, I think that the act of flipping the phone open is so cool, that when I flip it open to look at the time, I sometimes focus too much on the coolness aspect of it to actually remember what the time is.

This leads to me going back into my pocket to get it again, and look at the time the second time.

It’s pretty stupid. I’m glad I got that off my chest.

Well, I just returned from serving a fun-filled day of jury duty. This consisted mostly of me sitting in a big room, bored out of my mind with a number of other people, who were, incidentally also bored out of their respective minds.

I think it's sad that our Justice System makes this process so mind-numbing that I am sure it drives away all but the most inert individual. Needless to say I made sure that the one time I was called as a prospective juror in the case, I made sure not to get picked.

My brother got a puppy two days ago. It's a boy, he's 2 months old, and the name is still a bit up in the air... Cute though :)
